Castor Oil - A natural oil obtained from cold pressing the seeds of the Castor plant (Ricinus Communis). This ingredient is an emollient, highly moisturizing and provides gloss to the lips.
Beeswax - A natural purified wax obtained from the honeycomb of the bee, Apis Mellifera. This ingredient gives the LiP SMACKER balm some of its rigidity and tack by providing a gel like structure.
Cetyl Acetate – A clear liquid ester that is light and lubricious, to give lips a soft feel.
Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol – A naturally derived emollient and conditioning agent that leaves lips with a luxurious smooth feel.
Candelilla Wax – A moisturizing, natural yellow wax derived from the Euphorbia Cerifera shrub. It provides lip balms with structure and helps lips retain moisture.
Flavor/Fragrance – Our flavors are specially designed for our products. They are comprised of both natural and artificial ingredients, all of which are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) for use in cosmetic and food products. These ingredients give Lip Smackers the best flavors forever.
Polybutene - Provides lip balm with ‘tack’ and increases the wear time on the lips.
Sesame Oil - A natural oil obtained from the seeds of Sesamim Indicum plant. This oil provides lips with shine and emolliency.
Ozokerite - A white wax that adds rigidity and structure to the lip product.
Carnauba - A natural yellow wax obtained from the leaves and leaf buds of the Brazilian Wax Palm, Coperinicia Cerefera. It adds rigidity, structure and shine.
Mineral Oil - A refined liquid oil that adds emolliency and helps lips retain moisture.
Hydrogenated Soy Glycerides – Derived from Soybean Oil. It adds structure and rigidity to the lip balm and conditions dry, chapped lips.
Wheat Germ Oil – Rich in natural vitamin E, this refined oil provides antioxidant properties for your lips.
Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol - Lanolin is a natural, renewable raw material derived from shorn wool. It is a cruelty free by-product of wool washing which, if not utilized, would increase environmental problems associated with disposal.
ABeeswax - The beeswax we use is collected from honey. Once honey is extracted, Beeswax is leftover and processed for the cosmetic industry. It is not obtained in an inhume way and is not detrimental to bees.
ACarmine – Carmine is a red colorant obtained from an insect called Cochineal that lives in cacti in South America and Mexico. It is used in some (not all) LiP SMACKER products.
WE DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS nor do any of the materials we buy have tests performed on animals.
LiP SMACKER does not use animal testing, either in-house or through outside contractors, for any safety or efficacy evaluations of our products.
At present, there are several test procedures available to LiP SMACKER that help us substantiate the safety and effectiveness of our products. All of these studies are conducted on human panelists, in a clinical setting, with physicians' supervision and documentation. Other tests include irritation and sensitization potential, light reactivity, exaggerated usage, drug effectiveness, claims substantiation and comparative claims support.
These extensive procedures are performed by trained professionals to ensure that LiP SMACKER products are safe and provide the consumer with the proper features and benefits.
